UPS (NYSE:UPS) announced a new joint venture headquartered in Dubai to coordinate management and growth of UPS express package, freight forwarding and contract logistics services across the Middle East, Turkey and portions of Central Asia.
Cincinnati Bell Inc. (NYSE:CBB) today announced that it has amended and extended its revolving credit facility through August 2012. The amended revolving credit facility provides $210 million of funding capacity, which the company will continue to use to fund seasonal working capital requirements and other general corporate purposes as needed.
Plug Power Inc. (Nasdaq:PLUG), a leader in providing clean, reliable energy solutions, today announced it has been selected to provide 19 class 1 GenDrive fuel cell power units and two years of managed services for a demonstration project funded by the Department of Defense (DoD). Plug Power’s GenDrive units will be commissioned at the U.S. Army’s Forces Command in Fort Lewis, Washington where they will power a fleet of sit-down counterbalanced lift trucks.
The Children’s Place Retail Stores, Inc. (Nasdaq:PLCE) today mailed a letter to stockholders in support of its three highly qualified and independent incumbent directors up for election at the Company’s 2009 Annual Meeting of Stockholders on July 31, 2009. The Children’s Place urges stockholders to vote FOR the Company’s nominees, Sally Frame Kasaks, Malcolm Elvey, and Norman Matthews, on the WHITE proxy card — and to reject the three hand-picked nominees of former Chairman and CEO Ezra Dabah. Since Mr. Dabah and his father-in-law, Stanley Silverstein, are existing members of the Board, election of Mr. Dabah’s three hand-picked nominees would result in five of the nine members of the Company’s Board being Mr. Dabah’s personal designees.
Atlantic Coast Federal Corporation (NASDAQ: ACFC), the holding company for Atlantic Coast Bank, today announced that its Board of Directors has declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.01 per share, unchanged from last quarter. The dividend will be paid on July 27, 2009, to all stockholders of record as of July 10, 2009.
AMCORE Financial, Inc. (Nasdaq:AMFI), holding company of AMCORE Bank, today announced that the holding company and its subsidiary have entered into agreements with regulators designed to strengthen and improve the Bank’s financial condition and operations. Specifically, the holding company has entered into a Written Agreement with the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago and the Bank has agreed to the issuance of a Consent Order with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.
Digital Ally, Inc. (Nasdaq: DGLY), which develops, manufactures and markets advanced video surveillance products for law enforcement, homeland security and commercial security applications, today announced that Mississippi, New Mexico, Utah and Wisconsin have renewed their statewide contracts with Digital Ally, Inc. The renewals are for one-year periods and allow for all state, county and municipal law enforcement agencies to purchase the Company’s digital in-car video systems under the terms and conditions specified in each state’s contract.
Smithfield Foods, Inc. (NYSE: SFD) announced today that it has priced its previously announced offering of senior secured notes due July 2014. The notes will have an interest rate of 10% per annum and will be issued at a price equal to 96.201% of their face value. The Company intends to use the proceeds from the notes offering to repay borrowings and terminate commitments under its existing U.S. revolving credit facility, repay and/or refinance other indebtedness and for other general corporate purposes.
